Answers To Some Frequently Asked Questions

I know choosing the right coach can feel like a big step, and it is completely normal to have questions before getting started. This space is here to give you a better sense of how I work, what coaching with me can look like, and what you can expect from the process. My hope is that these answers help you feel a little more informed, a little more at ease, and more connected to whether this feels like the right fit for you.

What is trauma-informed coaching?

Trauma-informed coaching is a supportive and empowering process designed to help individuals navigate the effects of how past wounds can impact the here and now. Unlike therapy, which focuses on diagnosing and treating mental health conditions and digging around in the past, trauma-informed coaching practices emphasize personal growth, resilience, and goal-setting to help you move forward in your healing journey.

How do I know if coaching is right for me?

If you feel stuck, overwhelmed, keep repeating the same patterns or held back from where you want to be in your life or relationships, coaching may be beneficial. It is for anyone looking to develop  strategies, tools, build resilience, and create a fulfilling life and have enriching relationships despite past challenges. Coaching is action-oriented and focuses on the present and future.

What can I expect from a coaching session?

Each session is tailored to your needs and goals. We will explore your experiences, identify patterns, and develop strategies to help you heal and grow. Sessions are conducted in a safe, supportive environment where you are encouraged to express yourself freely.

How long does the coaching process take?

The length of the coaching journey varies for each individual. Typically they land at about 1 hour per session. Some clients benefit from just a few sessions, while others choose to continue for several months to ensure long-term growth and transformation. We will work together to determine the best approach for your unique journey.

Do you offer virtual coaching sessions?

Yes! Virtual sessions are available via video call, making it convenient for you to receive support from the comfort of your home. In-person sessions may also be available depending on your location.

How do I get started?

Getting started is simple. You can book a free consultation to discuss your needs, ask any questions, and determine if coaching is the right fit for you. From there, we will create a plan that aligns with your goals.

What is the cost of coaching sessions?

Pricing varies depending on session length and package options. Please visit the pricing page or contact me directly for more details on rates and available packages.

Is trauma coaching confidential?

Yes, confidentiality is a top priority. Everything discussed during coaching sessions is kept private, ensuring a safe and secure space for you to heal and grow. This is a requirement of the ICF. The only time I am not able to keep items discussed as confidential is if there is indication of harm to yourself or others.

Can trauma-informed coaching replace therapy?

No, trauma-informed coaching is not a substitute for therapy. While coaching is a powerful tool for healing and personal development, it does not diagnose or treat mental health conditions. If you require clinical support, we recommend working with a licensed therapist alongside coaching. If you need help finding one, I can help you source a therapist. I do work along side some wonderful therapists that may be able to assist and can also recommend other colleagues.

How do I book a session?

You can book a session by visiting our website and selecting a time that works for you. If you have any questions before booking, feel free to reach out via email.
